The story:
Back in New York after his European odyssey , Rip is shown a piece in the gossip column about Honey Dorian’s blossoming relationship with a young and wealthy playboy in London. Choosing to ignore the matter, Rip is nevertheless thrust into the spotlight when the playboy’s imposing mother tries to enlist the detective’s help to break up the romance - and he learns that a previous girlfriend died under mysterious circumstances...
