Nice scans . Thanks
Nice week end . Thanks
Thanks a ton,Parishi, Ajay and your friend in Australia for this wonderful Frew.
I saw and downloaded this post yesterday only about 30 min. of its being posted but was called for some urgent work at my workplace while writing my comment--and I couldn't save it.
A very nicely scanned one.
Please post some more Frews-- old as well as new issues.
Thanks a lot for this Frew! Really appreciate it. I live in australia near a newsagent and I sometimes get frews and scan them and send them to Prabhat at bookscomics, but everytime I've done so, I've noticed more and more that the new issues are generally not as good as the older ones. So if you have any old Frew, I wonder if you could scan them before the newer ones. Just a suggestion, as the stories are generally better. I really don't intend to sound ungrateful, as I know the amount of work one must put in to scan a comic.
Dear Parishi its a beautiful post. Thanks to your team.
Kit Walker : As there is lot of interest in readers to get latest FREW so scanned & posted these . Already scanned some latest ones too so if you plan to scan , please ask me so that duplication can be avoided .
I agree that some old Non Lee Falk stories were very good but some new ones are also very good .
We have lot of Non Lee Falk stories old as well as new ones . In fact , we have FREWs more than Indrajal comics . We have almost all Non Lee Falk stories but some are in bindings so all can not be scanned but will certainly scan old ones too .
That' a great news, Ajay. Please do post more FREWS. I am eagerly waiting for both new and old.
Is it possible that newly published FREWS could be posted as a series in continuation of their new issue nos. published ?
Frew's non-Lee Falk stories are the way we could get a fill of the Egmont (and other Scandinavian Fantomet stories) in English. And some of them equalled the classic Lee Falk stories, in story element and art.
I like them better than many of the Charlton stuff. I loved the Don Newton art in the new series of Charlton comics. They were like watching a movie.
Kit - if possible work it out with Ajay, so that both of u don't spend (I don't think waste is a good word here) time scanning and editing the same comic, while we could have got two.
I always try to do work that out with Ajay regarding HQ versions of Indrajaal Comics. Of course all the 803 comics are out there in one way or the other and have been out there for the readers since 2009-2010. Now the attempt is to put out more HQ versions.
I also try to work it out with Lothar with regard to Mandrake daily strips, esp the ones from 1950s & 60s. I do spend some time with Magnus and compare notes while posting Mandrake Sunday strips.
It makes things better for the readers that they get more unread stuff rather than more than one version of the same old stuff.
Thanks Parishi and Ajay Bhai, absolutely like Frew, the only missing thing in Frew is color :)
thanks for your effort and sharing.
Venkitachalam Subramanian : Will inform before scanning on blog itself so that if anybody , plans to scan , can avoid . that time can be used on some other comic too
Übermann : It is my pleasure that you are enjoying FREWs . FREWs since starting are in black & white . Despite rising prices internattionally , they are still able to publish , that I find good achievement .
In India , Egmont series published 6 in one series priced at Rs450 whereas FREW annual containing around 10-12 comics still comes for Rs600/
Venkitachalam Subramanian : welcome
sri : welcome
Upendera : welcome
Dr. Gaurav ARYA : Welcome
Thanks and kudos to all of you - Parishi, Ajay and your Australian friend for this post. Thanks to Venkit, Kit as well for co-ordinating the Frew scans for all of us to enjoy. Great work...
