This is a very sad news that Uncle Pai is no more with us . He needs no introduction . Most of book & comic lovers know his name very well . He was associated with so many publications but mostly his contribution to the world of Amar Chitra Katha as well Tinkle was totally unmatched . It is doubtful if any other publication is making as much popularity as well sales in India as well in the world & still continuing till date .
Just to pay our tribute here some comics for which he devoted his entire life are posted . These have been posted but again posting .

A great loss indeed :-( His "preface" to the first Tinkle (that you have posted here) gives us an idea of his love for children and his immense contribution !
BTW, thanks for the lovely comics as always. I did not have this version of Krishna, only the other version (available on the web, which I like more); the illustrations in this version are superb ! Does anyone have the third version as well (see

One query for all of us.
The ACK posted here is numbered as 11, but the no.11 (first ACK on Indian subjects) was Krishna has different story line as pointed out by Sridhar (also the link is provided.
I tried to find out the the Sr. No. of this story line posted by you from various sites and titles mainly by the list provided by John Thompson on http://www.silkqin.com/13pers/acklist.htm
But could not find the solution.
Can some body help?

Anant Pai is no longer in our midst, but his works will live forever. Thanks Parishi for the nice tribute post on Uncle Pai.
RIP Uncle Pai, and his legend will live on with those ACKs and Tinkles, which he made Amar.
